Leaving your dog in someone else’s care is a big decision. Our Board & Train program is designed for families who want meaningful progress in their dog’s behavior—without sacrificing trust, emotional safety, or who their dog is as an individual.

This is not a “quick fix” program or a one-size-fits-all boot camp. It’s immersive, relationship-based learning built on respect, science, and clear communication, so your dog can learn how to succeed at home, not just “perform” in training.

What your dog will work on

Each Board & Train program is customized, but common areas of focus include:

  • Calmness and settling skills in real-life situations
  • Attention and engagement with family members
  • Loose leash walking and comfortable handling skills
  • Polite behavior around people, dogs, or everyday environments
  • Foundation obedience (sit, down, recall, etc.) taught in a meaningful, usable way
  • Emotional regulation and coping skills around triggers

Progress is real—but never rushed or forced. We move at the pace your dog can genuinely handle.

  • Daily training integrated into normal home routines
  • Appropriate physical exercise and enrichment
  • Careful observation of your dog’s behavior and individual needs
  • Regular updates so you can see your dog’s progress

Family transition sessions (where the real success happens)

Board & Train is only truly successful when the family understands how to continue the work at home. That’s why this program includes two dedicated training sessions for you:

  • 90-minute go-home session
  • Scheduled just before your dog goes home, or within the first few days after
  • You’ll see what your dog has been working on and practice handling real-life situations
  • Second 90-minute follow-up session (1–2 weeks later)
  • We refine your skills, troubleshoot challenges, and support consistency once your dog has settled back in

Because the most important part of Board & Train is what happens after your dog comes home.
